❄️ Thursday Reminder: Warmth Saves Lives

With snow and freezing temperatures this week, a gentle reminder to look out for stray animals and outdoor creatures.
Even simple, safe shelters can make a real difference:
A cardboard box placed under a deck, porch, or sheltered corner
Styrofoam used as insulation (inside the walls or base, not as bedding)
Straw, shredded cardboard, or crumpled newspaper for warmth
Anything that blocks wind and keeps the space dry
⚠️ Avoid towels or blankets outdoors — they absorb moisture, freeze, and can make conditions worse.
In weather like this, even a basic shelter can save a life.
At Assembly On Call, we believe in community and compassion.
If you’re part of an animal rescue group or helping locally, we’d be happy to build simple animal shelters at no charge within our service areas.
Let’s take care of each other — including the ones without a voice. 🧡
